Vasco da Gama confirmed that forward David will continue working normally and will be available for the match against Vitória, despite being a target of an operation by the Civil Police of Espírito Santo. The operation investigates a criminal organization suspected of involvement in interstate drug and arms trafficking, in addition to possible links to a criminal faction.
Vasco's football director, Admar Lopes, stated during the official presentation of player Bruno Duarte this Monday that the club is cooperating with authorities and that David will remain at the team's disposal. The club had previously issued a statement saying it "cooperates with authorities and awaits the conclusion of the investigations."
The search warrants were served on Monday morning at David's apartment, located in Barra da Tijuca, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, and also at Vasco's Training Center. The operation is conducted by the Civil Police of Espírito Santo and focuses primarily on combating interstate drug and arms trafficking.
