Denmark is the only EU country with the RRP plan fully completed

Denmark is the only country in the European Union that has fulfilled all milestones and received the full amount of funds under the Recovery and Resilience Plan. The European Commission revealed that, as of August 31st, Denmark is the only Member State for which all milestone and target evaluations have been completed, with the corresponding funds already disbursed. This information was confirmed by an official source from the European Commission. At the same time, the institution expects to receive a new payment request from Portugal related to its own RRP.

Copeto holds a master's degree in Law and Security from Nova University of Lisbon and the new role will extend until December 2027.

Parking and maintenance neglect: New urban center lets down small merchants

Historic traders, such as Ourivesaria da Praça (60 years) and Cafetaria do Mercado (37 years), report that the drastic reduction in parking — from 200 to only 40 paid spaces — combined with pavement maintenance problems and lack of municipal support, has made local businesses unviable. Emblematic establishments, like the Gandra store (60 years) and the Sara Barracoa restaurant, have already closed or are in liquidation, warning that the commercial heart of the city has lost its capacity to attract.
