The 3rd Trail da Lagoa is a sporting event that takes place on the trails of Airão São João, in the municipality of Guimarães. The initiative is organized by Grupo Desportivo Airão Curviã and aims to bring together sport, nature and fellowship, challenging participants to discover paths and landscapes of the Vimaranense parish.
This year's edition presents three distinct modalities to accommodate different levels of experience. Participants can choose between an 8 kilometre Walk, a 12 kilometre Mini Trail or a 20 kilometre Long Trail. The different distances make the initiative accessible both to those seeking a more relaxed experience and to athletes wishing to face more demanding challenges.
The organization expects to welcome participants from different parts of the country, aiming not only to promote sporting practice, but also to showcase the landscapes and routes of the parish. At the same time, the event seeks to position Guimarães as a sport and nature destination, creating an environment that goes beyond the competitive aspect and involves athletes, families and the local community.
Registrations for the event are open until September 13 and can be made through the Sinctime platform. The event is promoted by the Mais Guimarães portal.
