The Luso-Cape Verdean journalist and author Paula Torres de Carvalho was the winner of the third edition of the Manuel Lopes Children's and Young Adult Literary Prize, in the text category. The distinguished work is the short story titled "Júlio, the Missing Boy." The victory was announced by the Imprensa Nacional Casa da Moeda, the entity responsible for organizing the prize. The contest distinguishes children's and young adult literature works written in Portuguese, in honor of the Cape Verdean writer Manuel Lopes.
