João Neto Vieira, former student of the Music School of Póvoa de Varzim (EMPV), has consolidated an international career by performing in some of the most prestigious concert halls in Russia, where the audience and critics recognize his artistic maturity. The pianist, who studied in the class of Professor Bruno Trocado, represents the journey of a musician from Póvoa who has achieved international recognition.
Vieira's recognition is not recent. In 2010, he was awarded the 2nd Prize and the Audience Prize at the 7th edition of the Póvoa de Varzim Piano Competition, which was an early sign of the talent that the school helped develop.
