The Paço dos Duques de Bragança, in Guimarães, reopened to the public after a week of closure. Visitors can now walk through this monument again, one of the most emblematic in the city. The Direction of the space clarifies, however, that there will continue to be some circulation and access restrictions to certain spaces, as the works are still ongoing.
During the closure period, entry to Guimarães Castle was made available for free, as a way to minimize the inconveniences caused to visitors. The Direction of the Paço dos Duques de Bragança, together with Museus e Monumentos de Portugal, E.P.E., thanked the public for their understanding over the past week and regretted any inconveniences caused by the temporary closure.
The ongoing interventions have as their main objective to strengthen the conditions for heritage preservation, improve accessibility and provide a more qualified visit experience, contributing to the enhancement of this important national monument.
