Entities that are part of the Portuguese Republic's Information System (SIRP) are now required to submit management reports in paper format, in a measure designed to protect classified information.
The decree that establishes this new rule enters into force on Tuesday, September 1. From that date onward, Portuguese intelligence services are exempt from presenting legally certified accounts.
The change comes in the context of the need to safeguard the confidentiality of operations and sensitive information related to the activities of these agencies.
