During the Romaria d'Agonia in Viana do Castelo, the Municipal Services of Viana do Castelo collected more than 70 tonnes of waste. The work took place over 9 days and involved a total of 34 workers, in an effort that totaled over 2,300 hours of work.
To ensure cleanliness during the event, five waste transport vehicles and three mechanical sweepers were used. The SMVC also proceeded with the installation of over 100 waste deposition points, including 17 strategically placed containers to accommodate the waste left by participants in the pilgrimage.
