The president of the United States, Donald Trump, called Iran a "failed nation" in a social media post on Monday (31), stating that the country "is dead." The Republican added that Iranian leadership is in "complete disarray and unable to adequately represent the country," in addition to mentioning economic problems and the lack of an army to continue the war. Trump also wrote that Iran only has "fake news from the United States," a "will to kill protesters," and "lies."
In an interview with Fox News, Trump promised a response to Iranian attacks on American bases in Jordan. On the other side, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also stated on Monday that the country still seeks a negotiation to end the war with the US.
