The PS general secretary, Carneiro, considered that the Government is "halfway there" in the dialogue on the State Budget for 2027, during a visit to Maputo. The statement comes in the context of negotiations between the Socialist Party and the executive.
Carneiro reiterated that the future position of the PS regarding the State Budget for 2027 is dependent on compliance with guarantees previously given by the Government. This condition remains a determining factor in the socialist decision.
The socialist leader also took the opportunity of his trip to Maputo to call for additional measures to support the internationalisation of Portuguese companies. He defended that initiatives should be implemented to strengthen the presence of companies from Portugal in external markets.
