Ílhavo: Reimbursement assured for worksheet notebooks of students with social support

The municipality of Ílhavo will fully reimburse the cost of worksheet notebooks for 1st Cycle students covered by Social School Action Categories A and B, in the 2026/2027 school year. The measure, estimated at around 12 thousand euros, falls under the 2026 Municipal Year of Education and aims to support families in acquiring essential pedagogical materials — such as Portuguese, Mathematics, Environmental Studies and English worksheets — which are not included in the free provision of textbooks. Reimbursement requests must be submitted by 31 October 2026, with the exception of school transfers. This is one of the 48 measures planned in the 2026 Roadmap, with the objective of reducing expenses for families in socioeconomic vulnerability situations and promoting equal opportunities and academic success.
