The Socialist Party's secretary-general, José Luís Carneiro, stated today that the Government is only "halfway" to it being possible for the Socialist Party to consider the State Budget.
Carneiro considered that the prime minister's "public word" on pensions was "important", but that there is still more ground to cover before the PS can favorably analyze the budget document.
This position comes in the context of negotiations between the PS and the Government over the State Budget, where pensions have been one of the points of discord between the parties.
