The leader of Chega/Açores demanded immediate intervention from the Republic Government to resolve problems in the platform accessing the territorial continuity mechanism. The situation is causing difficulties for Azoreans who wish to obtain airline ticket reimbursements.
According to the party's accusation, there are technical or administrative obstacles on the platform that hinder citizens' access to the reimbursement system. This is putting several Azoreans at risk of losing the benefits they would be entitled to.
Chega/Açores considers it the responsibility of the Republic Government to ensure the proper functioning of this territorial continuity mechanism, which exists precisely to support the travel of residents in the Azores. The party argues that the platform problems cannot prejudice the rights of Azorean citizens.
So far, no official response from the Republic Government to the demands made by Chega/Açores has been made known.
