Municipality of Seia finances tuition fees for CTeSPs at the School of Tourism and Hospitality

The Municipality of Seia will finance the tuition fees for the Higher Professional Technical Courses (CTeSP) at the School of Tourism and Hospitality (ESTH), part of the Polytechnic University of Guarda. The protocol established between the two institutions defines the conditions for this financing. In the academic year 2026/27, ESTH will offer nine of these higher professional technical courses. The measure covers students residing and not residing in the municipality of Seia.

Ludgero Marques: Seguro remembers a prominent figure of business associations

President of the Republic António José Seguro expressed deep sorrow over the death of Ludgero Marques, at age 88, describing him as one of the most prominent figures in Portuguese business associations. Ludgero Marques led the Portuense Industrial Association between 1985 and 2008, a period during which the institution transformed into the Business Association of Portugal. A native of Santa Maria da Feira, he graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Porto and headed several companies, including the taps and ceramics manufacturer Cifial. He received several honorary distinctions, including the rank of Grand-Officer of the Order of Prince Henry. The funeral will be held at the Matrix Church of Rio Meão, followed by the crematorium in Aveiro.
