Trump published a video on Truth Social overnight showing an attack on Kharg Island, Iran's main oil hub, claiming the island was being "reduced to pieces." The video, apparently generated by artificial intelligence, showed a simulation of the facility's destruction.
Iran responded through the executive director of the National Iranian Oil Company, Hamid Bovard, who denied that the main oil hub was being destroyed. He stated that operations on Kharg Island were not interrupted and that the situation is calm.
Bovard classified Trump's tweets as "ridiculous" and recalled that the island, from which 90% of Iranian oil exports come, has been bombed repeatedly by American and Israeli forces in the past. Despite this, he guaranteed that oil workers did not allow operations to stop "for even a moment."
