The Representative of the Republic for the Autonomous Region of Madeira, the unemployment judge Paulo Barreto, will not accompany the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, during his visit to the region.

The ministerial visit includes trips to the facilities of the Public Security Police (PSP) and the Republican National Guard (GNR) in Madeira.

This absence of the representative of the Republic comes in the context of an official visit by the minister to the autonomous region.
