The Sala da Nora, located at the Cine-Teatro de Castelo Branco, hosts the exhibition "Linhas Inorgânicas – Minimalist Architecture", by Luís Barata Dias. The exhibition will be on display from September 11 to October 4, with opening hours from Wednesday to Sunday, between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Admission is free.

The exhibition presents a collection of photographs that explore forms, light, color, shadows, and space, using photographic language in its simplest expression. The images seek to establish a balance between each element and the whole, through an approach marked by implicitness and reduction to the essential.

Architecture emerges as a meeting point between order, light, and geometry, captured through details, fragments, and visual relationships of everyday life observed from a new perspective. The work results from a search for the essential, without intending to explain or impress.

The photographic collection focuses on what usually goes unnoticed, offering new possibilities for seeing and interpreting everyday life. The official opening ceremony is scheduled for September 11, at 6:00 PM.

Portuguese Government grants public utility status to Ao Norte in Viana do Castelo

The Portuguese Government granted public utility status to Ao Norte – Association for Production and Audiovisual Animation, based in Viana do Castelo, through an order published in the Official Gazette. The association, which celebrates 32 years of activity in December, is dedicated to film club activities, training and audiovisual production, having established partnerships with the Polytechnic University of Viana do Castelo, local school groups, the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual and the municipality. This status allows access to tax benefits and government support, reinforcing the institution's social outreach capacity, which develops cultural projects such as the Encontros de Viana festival, the image workshop and the "Schools in Close-Up" program. The Viana do Castelo City Council had already approved the opinion for the attribution of the status in September 2024 and, in 2014, had awarded the association the title of Institution of Merit.
