Summer brought several interesting cinematographic proposals of great popular appeal, including films like 'La Odisea', 'Spider-man: Brand new day', 'El final de Oak Street', 'La constelación del perro' and 'El ser querido'. These productions represented different genres and trends that attracted audiences to movie theaters.

The return to cinema now presents equally suggestive proposals, involving prestigious directors like David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin. Sorkin will have another film about Facebook, while Fincher will also be present among the awaited productions.

Among the notable names that will continue to bring spectators to theaters are Los Javis, Olivia Wilde, Tom Cruise and Aaron Sorkin. Brad Pitt will also return reprising his character from 'Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood'.

The future programming also includes the new Marvel Avengers and the final installment of the 'Dune' saga, specifically 'Dune 3', promising to maintain public interest in major film releases.

Portuguese Government grants public utility status to Ao Norte in Viana do Castelo

The Portuguese Government granted public utility status to Ao Norte – Association for Production and Audiovisual Animation, based in Viana do Castelo, through an order published in the Official Gazette. The association, which celebrates 32 years of activity in December, is dedicated to film club activities, training and audiovisual production, having established partnerships with the Polytechnic University of Viana do Castelo, local school groups, the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual and the municipality. This status allows access to tax benefits and government support, reinforcing the institution's social outreach capacity, which develops cultural projects such as the Encontros de Viana festival, the image workshop and the "Schools in Close-Up" program. The Viana do Castelo City Council had already approved the opinion for the attribution of the status in September 2024 and, in 2014, had awarded the association the title of Institution of Merit.
