A sudden flood occurred in the Grand Canyon, in the United States, causing one dead and 15 missing. The incident was due to a sudden rise in water levels, possibly caused by heavy rains upstream.
Several pedestrian bridges were destroyed by the force of the current, being damaged or completely destroyed. More than 60 people had to be removed from the affected area by authorities.
The search operations for the 15 missing continue, with rescue teams on the ground looking for survivors. Local authorities are coordinating the emergency efforts to locate the people still missing.
