The musical Evita, by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Tim Rice, will take to the stage at the Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval on September 3rd at 9:00 PM, in an entirely Portuguese-language production. The show features performances by Sofia Escobar and Diogo Morgado, as part of the cultural programming promoted at that venue.

The work is considered one of the most iconic in musical theatre and portrays, in a rock opera format, the life of Eva Perón, following her trajectory from youth to becoming one of the most influential and controversial figures in Argentine history.

Premiered in London in 1978, the musical achieved international recognition and remains one of the greatest classics of the genre. The production has received multiple awards and has been presented in numerous productions around the world.

The Sintra City Council, through the Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval, thus reinforces its commitment to offering quality performances in the region, with more information available at ccolgacadaval.pt.
