Military Police Corporal Adriano Henrique Jardim da Silva, 35 years old, died after being shot during a clash with armed criminals in São Pedro da Aldeia, in the Lagos Region, on Saturday. The officer was participating in an operation by the 25th BPM (Cabo Frio) at Campo Redondo Square when he was hit by gunfire.
According to the State Military Police Secretariat, the officer was rescued and taken to the Emergency Room of São Pedro da Aldeia, but did not survive his injuries. After the incident, police presence was reinforced in the area and teams are conducting sweep operations to locate the criminals involved in the attack.
In a statement, the corporation mourned the death of the officer and expressed solidarity with the family members, friends, and fellow officers. Corporal Adriano Henrique Jardim da Silva was part of the Military Police of the state of Rio de Janeiro.
