Agosto Lilás, which ends on Monday, the 31st, is the month dedicated to awareness and confrontation of violence against women. This year, for the second time, Disque Denúncia Mulher, in partnership with Procurados, disseminates posters that gather information about fugitives from Justice for crimes committed against women.
The initiative aims to assist the work of the Specialized Police Stations for Women's Assistance, expanding the circulation of information that may contribute to the location of men who have open arrest warrants for crimes committed against women.
The posters gather photographs and information of eight wanted individuals, facilitating their identification and increasing the possibilities that information about their whereabouts reaches the responsible authorities.
According to the person responsible for Disque Denúncia Mulher, it is fundamental to reinforce that confronting violence against women also goes through holding aggressors accountable, and the action seeks to give visibility to the wanted criminals.
