The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced that he will use part of the oil extracted from Venezuela to fill the American National Strategic Reserve. The announcement was made through the social network Truth Social, which he himself created.

The measure comes following a recent agreement between the United States and the Venezuelan Government that allowed the increase of Venezuelan oil extraction.

Trump harshly criticized his Democratic predecessor, Joe Biden, whom he called "sleepy," stating that the National Strategic Reserve is "virtually empty" due to the former president's policies.
