A month after the migration crisis in Ceuta, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced a new aid package for the Spanish autonomous city in North Africa. The Spanish government is preparing to approve a 165 million euro package aimed at supporting Ceuta in light of the migration situation.
This announcement comes at a time when pressure on Spanish authorities to deal with the around five thousand migrants who continue in the autonomous city is increasing. The migration crisis in Ceuta, which occurred a month ago, generated a humanitarian emergency situation in the region.
Sánchez is expected to present more details about the aid plan and prepare explanations about the measures the executive intends to implement to manage the situation of the thousands of migrants who remain in Ceuta.
