Enric Mas won the ninth stage of the Vuelta a España, the Tour of Spain Cycling. The Spanish rider, who competes for the Movistar team, reinforced his position as leader of the general classification of the competition.
With this victory, Mas extended his lead over second place, Primoz Roglic, to 1 minute and 18 seconds in the general classification.
The ninth stage was decisive in consolidating the Spanish rider's leadership in the Spanish cycling competition, one of the three Grand Tours of the world cycling calendar.
