Hamas accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of giving "free rein" to Israeli settlers, in a statement issued by the organization. The Hamas note comes in response to attacks attributed to Israeli settlers in the West Bank.

According to the Palestinian organization, these attacks are part of a systematic plan to impose new colonial realities on the ground. Hamas also states that the objective is to accelerate the projects of annexation and displacement of the Palestinian population.

The statement concludes that these actions aim to bend the will of the Palestinian people and expel them from their land, denouncing what it considers to be a coordinated strategy of colonial expansion in the region.
