Eduardo Pestana, from the Associação Cultural e Desportiva do Jardim da Serra (AJS), and Solange Nunes, from the Grupo Desportivo do Estreito (GDE), were the big winners of the X edition of the Circuito Madalena do Mar – Ponta do Sol, which took place on a Sunday morning.
In the men's category, Eduardo Pestana completed the 5 kilometres of the race as the fastest, crossing the finish line with a time of 15 minutes and 45 seconds. Edwin Nunes, representing the Associação Desportiva e Recreativa de Água de Pena (ADRAP), finished in second place, just three seconds behind the winner.
Solange Nunes stood out in the women's category, securing the victory for the Grupo Desportivo do Estreito. The race, now in its tenth edition, took place in the area of Madalena do Mar, in the municipality of Ponta do Sol, in Madeira.
