Juventude secured passage to the 2nd round of the Portuguese Cup by defeating União de Montemor 1-4 at Estádio 1.º de Maio. The home team took the lead at 8 minutes through a goal by Tiago Varandas, but Juventus responded at 16 minutes with a penalty converted by Tiago Madeira, leveling the score.
The visiting side was reduced to ten men at 31 minutes, after the dismissal of Samir Banjai, with the score remaining 1-1 until halftime. In the second half, Mucuia scored the goal that put Juventus ahead, later completing the comeback with two more goals that set the final score at 1-4.
