Fernando Pimenta became world champion in K1 5,000 metres at the competition held in Poznan, Poland. The Portuguese canoeist thus completed an excellent performance at the World Canoeing Championship.
The world champion title in K1 5,000 metres joins the one Fernando Pimenta had already achieved the previous Saturday, in the K1 1,000 metres event. In this way, the Portuguese athlete won two world titles at this competition.
Fernando Pimenta represents Portugal in the sport of canoeing and demonstrated an excellent level of competitiveness throughout the two days of events at the World Championship.
