Engineers from various European space organizations are preparing in Kourou, French Guiana, a 3.8-ton meteorological satellite that will have the mission to watch Europe's sky to help avoid natural catastrophes.
The companies and entities involved in the process are ArianeGroup, Arianespace, CNES, Eumetsat, ESA and Thales Alenia Space, each responsible for different stages of the launch preparation.
The satellite is being transported together with the Ariane 6 rocket to the launch pad of the European Space Port, where engineers explain installation by installation the entire procedure.
This project represents a coordinated European effort to improve meteorological monitoring capacity and natural disaster prevention on the European continent.
