CNN Portugal30 August 2026 at 13:32

The PSD president, Montenegro, announced the creation of the Bragança and Northern Interior University during the closing speech of the party's Summer University. This promise comes in the context of the Social Democratic party's summer activities.

The announcement also includes a new school autonomy regime, which should change the way educational institutions manage their resources and internal decisions.

Montenegro used the stage of the PSD's Summer University to present these measures as part of his vision for the development of the northern interior of the country and for the reform of the Portuguese education system.
