A police pursuit began in Almada and ended in Sesimbra, after the driver crashed the vehicle and fled on foot from the scene. Authorities managed to intercept the suspect during the flight.
The driver appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the escape, according to information gathered at the scene. Several bottles were also found inside the abandoned vehicle.
Authorities continue to investigate the full circumstances of the incident, including the reasons that led to the pursuit from Almada to Sesimbra.
