The National Association of Parish Councils (ANAFRE) began a round of meetings with Intermunicipal Communities, starting in the Beira Baixa region. The goal of these meetings is to reinforce the participation of parish councils in the decision-making processes regarding local investment priorities funded by European funds. This initiative was announced by ANAFRE itself, which aims to ensure that local authorities have a more active role in defining investments financed by the European Union. The association is thus traveling through various regions of the country to debate these issues with the Intermunicipal Communities, ensuring that parish councils can contribute more effectively to the planning of European funds at the local level.
