A 37-year-old man was arrested by the GNR of Trafaria for suspected theft of electrical cables, leaving several areas of the municipality of Almada without electricity supply.

The suspect was caught in the act by the military of the Republican National Guard of Trafaria during the commission of the crime.

The cable theft caused interruptions in the electricity supply in several areas of the municipality of Almada, affecting the residents of the region.

The authorities reported that the individual was intercepted while carrying out the robbery of the cables, resulting in his immediate arrest.
