Nepal faces a catastrophe that severely affects the child population. According to UNICEF, approximately seventeen thousand children are in immediate need of humanitarian aid due to the situation.
To respond to this emergency, UNICEF is requesting seventeen million US dollars. These funds are primarily destined for shelters for the affected children.
Beyond shelters, the requested resources will be used for the acquisition of medical supplies, hygiene kits and psychosocial support for the victims. The international organization alerts to the urgency of intervening with the most vulnerable child population.
