After nearly four years closed for renovation works, the Teatro Nacional D. Maria II, located at Rossio, in Lisbon, finally reopens its doors to the public. The reopening is scheduled for soon, with tickets nearly sold out.
The theater chose for the occasion the play "Macbeth", by William Shakespeare, considered a "cursed play". This choice reflects the tradition that staging "Macbeth" brings bad luck, a superstition that has persisted for centuries in the theater world.
