Fourteen years after the events that marked the Divino neighborhood in the original soap opera, life seems to have found a new path. Tufão, played by Murilo Benício, has become an even more successful businessman, and his family remains united, with old wounds seemingly dormant.
Carminha, played by Adriana Esteves, returns to the plot after serving her prison sentence. Far from the company of the mansion's residents, she has reinvented herself through social work with families in vulnerable situations after the landfill was deactivated. Transformed into a symbol of overcoming and redemption, Carmen Lúcia Araújo is recognized by the community and celebrated by the media.
Carminha's great motivation now is to earn the forgiveness of people she hurt so much, especially her daughter Agatha, played by Karol Lannes. Agatha's fragility opens the way for a reconnection with Tufão's family, and Carminha ends up being welcomed by part of the clan, showing willingness to rebuild the bonds broken in the past.
However, Carminha's return reignites a doubt that threatens to destabilize the apparent peace that has been achieved. The plot suggests that her presence, even transformed, may call into question the newly established harmony among the characters.
