The US Space Force admitted this Monday that the United States has weapons in Space, confirming what was considered a "poorly kept secret" of the Pentagon, according to analysts consulted by the France-Presse agency.
The following Tuesday, China and Russia publicly reacted to this revelation. China stated that Space cannot become a battlefield, while the Kremlin declared that Space must be "free of any weapon".
Beijing and Moscow strongly criticized the presence of US weapons in orbit, considering that this constitutes a violation of the principles that should govern outer space.
The United States, for its part, justifies the presence of these weapons as space control tools capable of defending the US Joint Force.
