The European Commission launched a digital platform aimed at facilitating the mutual recognition of social security documents and professional qualifications among the European Union Member States.
The main objective of this platform is to simplify and accelerate the bureaucratic processes that currently delay the recognition of diplomas, professional licenses and social security rights when citizens move to another EU country.
According to the European Commission's estimates, the implementation of this system could represent savings of billions of euros by the end of the next decade, by reducing administrative barriers and facilitating labour mobility within the European block.
The initiative is part of the broader efforts of the European Union to create a true single digital market and promote the free movement of workers and services among its Member States.
