Volvo announced a remote update for the EX30 that introduces the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function, allowing the electric SUV to supply power up to 3kW to external devices. This bidirectional functionality transforms the vehicle into a portable power source, expanding the possibilities of use for owners.
The update also activates the Plug & Charge protocol in Portugal, eliminating the need for cards or applications for authentication at compatible charging stations. The system automatically identifies the vehicle and initiates the charging process in a simplified manner.
In addition to the new features, the EX30's digital interface has been renewed, providing a more intuitive experience to users. This update demonstrates Volvo's commitment to continuously improving their electric vehicles through software enhancements.
