The institutional website of the municipality of Mirandela was distinguished with the Gold Seal of Usability and Accessibility. This distinction results from the project "Certification with gold seal of the institutional website of the Municipality of Mirandela", funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, within the framework of the modernization and digital transformation of Public Administration.
The attribution of the seal certifies compliance with demanding digital accessibility and usability criteria, recognizing the capacity of the municipal portal to provide better conditions of use for all citizens, including people with disabilities or incapacity.
Among the aspects evaluated are content readability, organization and ease of navigation, use of the portal on different devices and through assistive technologies, as well as the simplification of interaction with the content and services made available online. The Gold Seal also presupposes compliance with international digital accessibility standards and the carrying out of usability evaluations and tests, including with users with disabilities.
For the local authority, this distinction recognizes the municipality's work in making access to information and municipal services simpler, more intuitive, inclusive and appropriate to the needs of the population.
