GNR confirmed the presence of bedbugs in some accommodation spaces and sanitary facilities at the Portalegre Training Centre. The confirmation came after reports about the existence of a plague at the location.
As a preventive measure, in-person classes for the Guards training course will be suspended between Wednesday and Friday, September 16, 17, and 18. During this period, teaching activity will be maintained through distance learning.
The decision to temporarily interrupt in-person classes was made to prevent the situation from affecting the trainees who use the Training Centre facilities. GNR did not specify when in-person classes will resume or what decontamination measures will be implemented at the location.
