Gilmar and Mendonça argue in session at the STF, and senior justice states that colleague adopted 'political electoral' conduct in Master case

Justices Gilmar Mendes and André Mendonça had a heated argument during a session of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) this Tuesday. Senior Justice Gilmar Mendes accused his colleague André Mendonça of adopting a "political electoral" tone in handling the Master case, related to PET 16.662. Gilmar especially criticized the choice of the judgment date, which fell on September 7th, as well as the presence of dolls with Mendonça's face at rallies by supporters of presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro from the PL party, known as "pixuleco." In response, Mendonça said Gilmar was being "careless" with his accusations. Gilmar countered by stating that "decent people don't do that," without completing the sentence.
