In fact, the two had previously shared adjacent seats in a session held earlier this month, even amid the crisis between the ministers.
The session was convened by STF President Edson Fachin to analyze the procedure involving messages found on Vorcaro's phone. The objective was to discuss the possibility of opening an investigation into Moraes. Fachin is also the case rapporteur and read the report on the issue at the beginning of the session.
The case represents an unprecedented crisis at the STF. The conversations between Moraes and Vorcaro were discovered from the banker's phone, which was seized during a Federal Police operation. The situation generated repercussions and led to the convening of extraordinary sessions to address the matter.
