Deco Proteste issued an alert about the reductions in IRS source withholdings. The organization explains that, although workers may have more money available in their salary in the final months of this year, this doesn't necessarily mean they will pay less tax in the end.
According to Deco Proteste, the decrease in source withholdings may create the illusion that taxpayers are saving, but the real bill may come later, when the annual IRS settlement is made.
The consumer defense organization thus warns taxpayers not to erroneously interpret the increase in net salary as an effective reduction in the tax burden,提醒他们注意实际税务情况。
