Minister Flávio Dino, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), decided this Tuesday that new facts involving Minister André Mendonça should be forwarded to the Court's president, Edson Fachin. The facts include a meeting between Mendonça and businessman Luciano Hang, known as "Véio da Havan," as well as a contract signed between the Brazil Institute and the Federal District government.
Dino determined that this information should be included in the procedure already opened to investigate Mendonça's actions during the crisis caused by the Master case. The Master case involves an investigation into alleged irregularities in investment funds managed by the company.
The minister stated that the information needs to be clarified, guaranteeing due process and full defense. He also explained that the analysis of the new facts should occur after authorization from the Supreme Federal Court's plenary. The decision is still being updated.
