Alentejo rider António Maio is returning to competition at the 38th Baja TT Sharish Gin Reguengos/Mourão, which takes place between September 18 and 20 in the municipalities of Reguengos de Monsaraz and Mourão. This is the fourth round of the National Cross-Country Championship.
After the summer break, Maio returns to the controls of the Yamaha Ténéré in a race marked by demanding routes and varied terrain. The rider has expressed his motivation for the return, intending to test and demonstrate the bike's capabilities, despite the strong competition expected.
The competition kicks off on Friday with a 6.2-kilometre prologue. On Saturday, the first selective sector takes place with 144 kilometres, while on Sunday motorcycles, quads and SSVs face a final special stage of 150 kilometres.
The Baja TT Sharish Gin also features the FIM Europe European Baja Championship and takes place alongside the Grande Lake Alqueva, bringing the cross-country caravan to the Alentejo tracks.
