Seven deaths recorded on roads during campaign on use of security devices

During a campaign dedicated to the use of security devices on Portuguese roads, seven deaths were recorded. The GNR, the main police force responsible for road enforcement, counted a total of 499 infractions during this period. The campaign focused on awareness and enforcement of security devices, such as seat belts and child restraint systems. The high number of infractions detected by the GNR highlights the continuous need to reinforce drivers' awareness of the importance of these protective equipment.
