CV criminals involved in vehicle thefts are targets of operation in Lins and Grande Méier

Civil police officers from the Capital's Vehicle Robbery and Theft Police Station (DRFA-CAP) carried out on Tuesday an operation against Comando Vermelho criminals involved in vehicle thefts and other crimes. The teams aimed to execute 12 arrest warrants, in addition to four others against targets who were already in prison, in the Lins Complex and Grande Méier, in Rio's North Zone.

One person was arrested during the action, identified as Vitor Puma, pointed out as responsible for tampering with the vehicles after the thefts. The arrest was reported by Bom Dia Rio, a news program on TV Globo, based on an interview with delegate Thiago Neves.

According to the delegate, some stolen vehicles were being sold to other states, such as Mato Grosso. The operation was carried out based on the intelligence work of the police authorities.
