An illegal hunter died after being attacked by a herd of elephants while trying to approach rhinos in Kruger National Park, South Africa. The incident occurred this month and involved two hunters who were in the park with the intention of killing prey.
The two hunters ran in different directions when they were surprised by the elephants. However, the one who was targeting was the slowest to react, and the animals went after him first. The man was quickly surrounded and trampled to the ground.
The other hunter managed to escape the scene, but was later arrested by authorities. Park management was alerted about the incident and followed the suspect back to the scene.
At the scene, authorities found only a large blood stain around the clothes the hunter was wearing, indicating that almost nothing remained of the body after the elephant attack.
